DIY INSPO: I CAN MAKE THAT!
I find so many products on the internet and my first thought is “I can make that!” So, today I bring to you some recent DIY inspiration projects I found while cruising the net, and notes on how I would start to recreate.
*A little tip to help you organize your DIY INSPO files: Create sub-folders, set the file to show in order by date, and use thumbnail pictures. A few extra steps that will help you stay more organized.*
1. Unicorn Trinket Dish
I don't know exactly what I would put in the container, maybe coins... but anything involving a unicorn I'm here for. I'd likely use a toy horse from the dollar store, decapitate it, glue a screw on it's head, glue the head to a container with a lid, spray paint and voila!
2. Incense Stone Burning Tray
I like this because it seems convenient to move from room to room. I would likely paint the stones and/or tray to make it more festive. This seems super easy and if it was made large enough could be a cool centerpiece in a room!
3. Water holder/Hiking bag
I am big on hiking, I live in Cali and we have some really amazing trails. My first thought was this is perfect for a hike when you don't want to carry much. I would add a pocket on the side for my phone/cards (gotta take some selfies and snapchat my whole life). I would add a key holder at the top of the bag, for obvious reasons. Lastly, I'd make the straps detachable so I could throw the fabric in the washing machine. I would use a sewing machine to construct, but it doesn't appear to require many seams, so you might get away with hand stitching.
4. Records & Record Player Holder
So this one is a little trickier than the others; I don't have a for sure plan on how I would make this. I think IKEA has a wine rack with a similar shape, I am convinced with some spray paint and some tweaking it could mimic this.
This is just a little snapshot into the beginning stage of how I create my DIY projects. If you happen to make any of these before I get a tutorial up, please let me know how it went! HAPPY CREATING!
