FANCY UP YOUR ROOM WITH THIS CHIC FAUX MARBLE WALL CLOCK

Marble pieces in home decor is trending and I couldn't be happier! There is something about a marble piece in a room that instantly makes the room fancier, and who doesn't want a fancy room? In honor of my love for fancy, but my not so fancy budget, I've come up with this easy to do Faux Marble Wall Clock, and there's no drill required, score! So hop on board the marble home decor trend now! Materials:

  • Marble Contact Paper (17.7 in. x 18 in. or larger)
  • Foam Cork Board(20 in x 15 in)
  • Round Cork Board (19 cm diameter)
  • Clock Movement Kit 3/8 in. (Remember to get a battery)
  • Spray Paint

Tools:

  • X-acto Knife
  • Sandpaper
  • Ruler
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Large Round Plate

Directions:

  1. Use large round plate to draw a circle on the foam board.
  2. Place something heavy on the plate to hold it in place and use the X-acto knife to cut out a circle
  3. Use the sandpaper to smooth out any rough edges around the circle.
  4. Trace the cut circle on the back of the contact paper.
  5. Use the ruler to draw a 1/2 in. larger circle around the circle on the contact paper
  6. Cut the circle out with scissors
  7. Take the clock movement kit out the package
  8. Disassemble the kit according the to the instructions
  9. Use one of the screws removed from the clock kit to draw a circle in the center of the circle form board, cork board, and contact paper. Use the X-acto knife to cut the circles out
  10. Peel the protective cover from the contact paper.
  11. Place the contact paper on the foam circle ensuring the small middle circles are aligned.
  12. Smooth out any bumps or ripples. Fold the edges back and use the glue gun to secure it to the back of the foam board
  13. Place the cork and the marble foam board on the clock kit. Assemble the clock kit per the instructions.
  14. Set the time, add battery, and voila! A marble clock!
