CATCHING ZEN...

On Sunday, August 30, 2015, my friend Randi aka “Papi” (check out the re-launch of her blog www.papidrinkswine.com) took me on a friend date, hiking at Lands End in San Francisco, CA. I love all things nature, so I was excited when she asked me to go because I had never been. We got there around 9:00am, it was peacefully misty and cloudy. We took the Coastal Trail and found an unbeaten path down to the beach. There we collected rocks and seashells and ran from waves. We walked back to the trail and left coins and a prayer at the Virgin Mary rock sculpture.  The Coastal Trail leads to China Beach and we ate sandwiches and drank wine as the sun broke-through the clouds.  We wrapped up at the beach with some mediation. This was one of the best hikes I’ve been on. The hike was a little over 5 miles total. It was such a beautiful day!
